The Iqra'a University Library supports the core functions of the university. The library is an integral part of the university’s mission, which revolves around teaching and research. The library plays a central role in ensuring the fulfillment of core academic initiatives and strives to provide a dynamic information service to its clients in order to give practical meaning to the university's `vision. The library has resources in both print and electronic formats that are in line with the library’s primary objective of providing access to information resources and conservation and preservation of knowledge. The University Library’s vision is to become a university of excellence through training, research, and public engagement with a mission to provide access to higher education opportunities in order to improve economic and social conditions for the local and global communities and promote good values for responsible citizenship. The library provides information services to library users within the college community, such as the Circulation section, which holds general and short loan shelves in both print and electronic information resources, including print and electronic journals and books, information literacy training, References, and Malawiana windows.

Opening Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am-4:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

Membership is Open to:

  • All registered students of the college for the duration of their study period and;
  • All Academic, Academic Related and Administrative staff of the College.
